Lumineers outshine Cake!
Despite the adverse weather conditions for an outdoor concert, I felt that the Lumineers outperformed Gogol Bordello in engaging the crowd, even though the former endured most of the rain and wind.
The Lumineers, with their instruments soaked in rainwater, continued to play energetically, eliciting applause and excitement from the audience. Gogol Bordello, on the other hand, took a considerable amount of time to set up their stage, without any apparent reason as their setup was not particularly special.
During the performance, there was a noticeable amount of talking amongst the audience, and the sound levels were so low that I could have a normal conversation with the person next to me while the music was playing. It seemed like Gogol Bordello failed to captivate the crowd after their first song and never managed to regain control. Despite my love for Gogol Bordello, this experience made me lean towards sticking to their CDs instead.
